Studies show that more than 250,000 cases of “male-female rape or attempted rapes were recorded by police annually.”  In Haiti, a stranger raped a young girl named Mathilda one night as she attended a party. Her case was completely different than Melinda Sordino’s case because Mathilda decided to speak to the authorities as soon as she was raped. She had the courage to tell her friends as well as the cops what had happened to her that night and she identified the rapist. Three months later, they caught the rapist. His name was Mike Abahad and he became known as the biggest rapist in town.

  1. Rape is such a horrible action. Now, not only women are getting sexually abused, but also men. As seen in your video, rape against men is not even recognized! That's tragic. As both, Melinda Sordino and Mathilda did, anyone getting sexually abused should have to go report their cases without suffering from other consequences. The sooner reported, the better for rapists to be caught and decrease the occurrences of rape.
Your video was very informative, detailed, and visual. With these three aspects, I believe that publishing more videos like this will bring awareness and decelerate rape around the world.

  2. The issue of rape is becoming more and more evident with time. Today, women are not the only ones suffering from this cause; there are as much men as women who are victims of rape, and they also suffer the same consequences as women. Rape is shown to have caused suicide, as people feel ashamed of speaking up and hold everything in until they explode. Talking about it is very important, as it will help relieve the stress and also let the police catch the rapist. This book seems like a very interesting one, as it teaches a very valuable lesson: Speak Up! That is the only way to solve all problems.
